Broncos Offer Prize on Williams`s Killers Heads

The Denver Broncos, evidently, don`t have much faith in their local police, and they may be correct to feel that way as the Denver Police has yet to solve the murder of their team-mate Darrent Williams, during the New Year`s festivities. For this reason the team members decided to raise a sum of $100 thousand and announce that that sum will be awarded to anyone who will help solve the mystery. This sum is quite a bit more attractive than the $2 thousand award offered by the police.

Williams was shot dead at 24, during New Year`s, after his Hummer limousine was sprayed with bullets in a drive-by shooting, when leaving a night club in which he celebrated New Years. A friend of the deceased corner back, the Broncos`s wide receiver, Javon Walker, was also in the vehicle, he escaped unharmed. Walker and his friends at the Broncos have reason to be unsatisfied with the police investigation which uncovered the vehicle from which the shots were fired, but was unable to locate the perpetrators as the vehicle is registered under the name of Brian Hicks, who is currently in prison.

The police investigated Willie Clarke in an attempt to get information on the case. The assumption is that Williams, who took part in a disgracing loss to San Francisco a few hours earlier, was murdered following a conflict with one of the party goers. "That money has really spawned some reaction," Rev. Leon Kelly, executive director of Denver`s Open Door Youth Gang Alternatives said. "It`s caused a buzz to go out."
