Mike Tyson arrested on cocaine charges
Once the mightiest boxer in the world, "Iron" Mike Tyson received a knockout this week. Tyson was placed under arrest on the weekend after driving under the influence and possession of cocaine in Scottsdale, Arizona. In the arrest, Tyson`s BMW almost struck a sheriff`s vehicle but then did not resist arrest. He was alone in the car.
Meanwhile, Tyson was released without bond. He admitted an addiction to the police officers who arrested him. In court he remained silent and did not enter a plea. The county sheriff said Tyson has been to the prison house before. In community work he did in the past, he advised juvenile offenders about the dangers of drugs and alcohol. "The irony is he did a great job with these kids -- stay away from drugs, don`t drink, stay out of trouble," the sheriff said.
Tyson became the youngest ever heavyweight champion of the world in 1986. He was 20.In 1997 he bit the ear of Evander Holyfield in an act that has stained his reputation for the remainder of his career.
