Germany Pounds San Marino 13 Times

The audience watching Germany`s match against San Marino on Wednesday could not believe the performance he was watching, and neither could the players from San Marino. Germany scored no less than 13 goals during the game, and became the team to score the most goals in a single game in the history of the European Championship. Germany now holds the biggest competitive win outside Olympic soccer, a title that Spain hold for their 12-1 win over Malta 23 years ago.

The German party was equally distributed to all parts of the German attack. Lukas Podolski scored four goals, and Miroslav Klose, Thomas Hitzlsperger, and Bastian Schweinsteiger all scored twice. Germany has a fine attack formation, and displayed a brilliant performance during World Cup 2006, where they reached the semi-finals where they lost to eventually world champions Italy.

There is already criticism about the way UEFA organizes the European championship, and with this win by Germany, the calls for reorganization will increase. Europe has some of the most powerful soccer teams in the world, and teaming them with teams from small and almost unpracticed countries is not reasonable.
