Tevez Comments on Move to West Ham

Carlos Tevez, one of the brightest stars in the world of soccer, said that he preferred West Ham United to other major European clubs in order to get experience. Playing for bigger clubs would result in him getting less regular soccer, and that is something that the Argentinean young striker cannot have. "West Ham is a team where I can get a rhythm of playing, see what English football is all about," the World Cup striker told a news conference.

Although media speculates that Tevez is still looking for alternative options, the player said that he is currently not looking any further than West Ham. "First I want to do well for West Ham. I am not concerned about playing in a big club. I just want to play," said Tevez. Javier Mascherano, Tevez`s Argentina teammate, has also moved to West Ham as the two players left Brazilian Corinthians on Thursday.

"It`s going to do me a lot of good to play in this league. There is no resentment with Corinthians, with the people who supported me. Sure, I did not want to go out like that but the circumstances and promises not respected were the motive. The directors showed a lack of respect towards me which is why I stopped going to training," Tevez said about his departure from the Brazilian team.
