Joaquin Finally at Valencia

It was not easy, but it is done. Joaquin completed his transfer process and become an official part of Valencia. The Spanish player was greeted by some 10,000 fans over at Mestalla stadium during his first appearance since he left Real Betis on Monday. Not only did the move was not easy, it was not cheap either. Valencia had to pay 25 million Euro, the equivalent of $32 million, in order to get the player.

Valencia`s president had only good things to say about Joaquin during his presentation. "It is a pleasure to present one of the best players in his position in the world," he said. The Spanish international signed a contract that will keep him playing in the Primera Liga for six years.

"I have had to endure some very tough moments in the last few weeks, but this reception makes up for everything," said Joaquin. It was expected that the deal will go through even earlier, somewhat last week, but Real Betis hold the transfer until all payment guarantee was made, and their match against Valencia was done with.
