Giants at Dallas for Monday Night
Monday night`s division battle between the New York Giants and the Dallas Cowboys will be a close game, and closely watched. Both teams, although only 3-2 after six weeks, have played tremendous football at times. Giants running-back Tiki Barber leads the league in rushing with 533 yards, and is coming off a 185 yard game. Facing him is the Cowboys rushing unit, the league`s best, led by Julius Jones, who is sixth best in the NFL with 494 yards and comes off his third consecutive 100-yard game.
But the game will also feature some throwing, and receiving, mainly involving Terrell Owens of the Cowboys. T.O. had his fourth three-TD game of his career last week, and is feeling better playing with quarterback Drew Bledsoe, or at least he says he is. Giants` defense will try to pressure Bledsoe, thus disrupting the Cowboys offense. Michael Vick who faced the Giants defense last week was sacked a total of seven times in the game.
And finally, the Giants will meet their former boss, now Cowboys head coach Bill Parcells. He led the Giants to their first Super Bowl title in 1986, and again in 1990, before retiring and moving around until appearing on the Cowboys` sidelines in 2003.
