Chelsea players accuse Reading`s Hunt
Chelsea`s goalkeeper Petr Cech is recovering in the hospital after undergoing an operation for a head injury he suffered during Saturday`s Premiership match. His team-mate Didier Drogba meanwhile has accused Reading`s Stephen Hunt of intentionally causing the injury. Jose Mourinho had earlier made seemilar accusations, that he believes the kick was deliberate as well.
Mourinho`s squad will meet Barcelona Wednesday night in a crucial Champions League Group A match. But the players are still coping with the loss of their starting keeper. Cech, 24, fractured his skull when kicked in the head by Hunt`s knee. His team-mate Drogba told L`Equipe has rejected claims that the incident was an accident. He is further furious that Hunt was laughing when Cech was taken off the field on a stretcher.
The keepr`s second replacement, third choice Henrique Hilario will make his Chelsea debut against Barcelona, after Carlo Cudicini was also injured in the Reading match. Mourinho is not concerned about this, saying: "Hilario is no kid. He`s 30 years old. He`s played game after game in the first division and has played the odd Champions League game. He is calm, prepared, he is taking his time."
