One-two-three touchdowns for T.O.
If Terrell Owens football career, his relations with fans and media, and the entire saga we call T.O. could be defined as ups and downs, then Sunday night was most certainly an up. The receiver was at the top of his game, catching three passes for touchdowns, received a standing ovation from his home crowd in Dallas and is praised in national media.
With two touchdowns in the third quarter and another in the fourth, Owens led his team for a tight game against the Houston Texans to an easy 34-6 victory. The Dallas offense had a tremendous second half, scoring 31 points on five of six possessions. The Cowboys defense too was outstanding, not allowing a touchdown for the second straight home game.
But the story was all T.O. Although Owens went nearly an entire half without a catch and hardly any passes thrown his way, any clouds of tension were cleared in the second half. In fact, it was the 25th time in his career in which Owens had multiple TD catches. "It was his day," Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said. "I`m pleased we got him."
