Stephen Jackson charged for strip club incident

Stephen Jackson, the Indiana Pacers and the entire NBA league are in it again. The first time, the Pacers` guard/forward took a leading part in the infamous brawl between the Indiana players and Detroit Pistons fans in Auburn Hills. The league suspended Jackson for 30 games, and the incident ended up hurting the Indiana team as well as the league`s reputation. That was almost two years ago, in November 2004.

This time again Jackson is involved in a fight, his team is facing uncertainty and might hurt from the developments that might cause him to miss part of the season, and the league could have not imagined worst press. Although Jackson may not have caused the fight, police say he admits jumping into it, firing his gun and kicking a man who was being pummeled on the ground.

Now Jackson has been charged with a felony count of criminal recklessness and misdemeanor counts of battery and disorderly conduct for the fight outside a strip club in Indianapolis. "This is a big blow for Stephen. He didn`t expect this," said Pacers President of Basketball Operations Larry Bird. It is a blow to the team and the league too.
