Manchester United and Chelsea Tie

Jose Mourinho, Chelsea manager, is happy with his teams tie with Manchester United, Sunday. The tie at Old Trafford, Sunday, nearly abolished Manchester United`s lead completely, leaving the so-called Red Devils only 3 point ahead. Mourinho told reporters: "We know in the second period of the season Man United has to go to Arsenal, to Chelsea and to Liverpool," He added, not without pleasure. "They will have a difficult time." Manchester now has the lead with 35 point in 14 games, Chelsea is second with 32 points and Bolton is third place after it successfully took on Arsenal 3-1, Saturday.

The first half of the game was largely dominated by Manchester, who`s Louis Saha conquered United`s only goal in the game at the 29th minute. But after half-time Chelsea took control of the game, resulting in Ricardo Carvalho goal at the 69th minute, tying the game. Mourinho Said: "If I was in their place, I would be very, very disappointed because it`s a big chance at home to open the gap and they couldn`t do it." Alex Ferguson, Manchester United manger disagrees feeling his players did a good job: "Some of the football we played was fantastic. We could have scored maybe more goals, but at the end of the day, I`m pleased with the performance and I`m pleased at the effort they made."

Manchester United`s Cristiano Ronaldo nearly scored from a 30-yard free kick but the ball was pushed over the bar by Carlo Cudicini, Chelsea`s goalkeeper. Before half-time Chelsea was close to tying the game when a 20-yard shot by Gerem was blocked by Edwin van der Sar, Manchester`s goalkeeper.
