Dallas hand Colts first loss of the season

In only his fourth career start, and the first at home, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony room led his team to an impressive win over the Indianapolis Colts. Dallas (6-4) handed the Colts there first loss of the season. Their 9-0 record coming into the game is four wins short of their 13-0 opening last year. Perhaps the loss will come as a relief to the Colts, who can now concentrate on staying on top of their AFC conference.

Peyton Manning threw two interceptions, one of which was returned for a score, and a season-high 19 incompletions. The host team`s quarterback, meanwhile, led two fourth quarter touchdown drives and one to wind out the clock. With four of the final six games of the season to be played at home, Dallas is in prime position to make a run for the playoffs.

Romo led a 68 yard run in the fourth that ended with a 5 yard touchdown run by running back Marion Barber, then followed with an 80-yard drive that too ended with a touchdown from Barber. Entering the game, Romo was the second best rated quarterback in the league, behind Manning. On Sunday, he was clearly the better player on the field.
