Seattle sacks Oakland on way to shutout win

Oakland Raiders quarterback Andrew Walter was sacked no less than nine times in Seattle Monday night, on the way to a 16-0 loss. The Seahwaks offense, missing quarterback Matt Hasselbeck and MVP running back Shaun Alexander, scored 13 points in the first quarter and let the defense knock the Raiders throughout the remainder of the game, on their way to an easy win and a 5-3 record.

Hasselbeck`s replacement as Seattle`s quarterback Seneca Wallace completed 18-of-30 passes for 176 yards. Maurice Morris, replacing Alexander as running back, ran for a career-high 130 yards. On the defensive end, the Seahawks` Craig Terrill sacked the visiting quarterback three times, all in the first half, to join his previous two career sacks.

No doubt, the visiting team made Seattle look better than they have this far in the season. Seattle gave up 28 points or more in their last five games. the raiders, the NFL`s worst offensive record this season, helped them break this poor record. Oakland has been poor at protecting their quarterback, giving up an NFL worst 44 sacks this season, on their way to a 2-6 record.
