Little General Exceeds Expectations

Coming into the season, people expected the Mavs to be good. However nobody expected them to be this good - this fast. With all do respect to the players, the credit for Dallas Success should go first and foremost to the head coach. With the second best record in the league, much of this credit should go Avery Johnson?s way.

The little general has done something in Dallas that Nelson didn?t do, which is to make Dallas play defense. The coach and the big man drive this team. Nowitzki is a player that most teams can?t seem to defend against and who can hold his own. Dallas? big is also their scorer so as long as he is healthy, and he has been so far.

Dallas is also helped by a solid and pretty deep bench that tends to be underrated and a pretty good point guard in Jason Terry, he may not be a Steve Nash or Tony Parker or Chauncey Billups but he is the right fit right now for Dallas.
