Weekend of World Class Soccer

This is the last weekend of World Cup 2006, and what a weekend it is! Eight teams will battle for four semifinals tickets, and it is not going to easy. The first game that takes place on June 30 will bring Argentina and Germany to face one another. Both teams are considered very strong and we are in for great soccer action. Germany is hosting the tournament and will have the advantage of playing at home with its fans, while Argentina displayed unmatched performance in the tournament and will be very hard to beat.

The second game that takes place on June 30 is a match between Italy and Ukraine. Both teams won their last games by penalty shots. Ukraine won 3 ? 0 over Switzerland after 120 indecisive minutes, and Italy won over Australia by a 93rd minute penalty kick. The game is also considered a matched one and it is hard to say who will be the clear-cut winner.

Two more games will be held on July 1 with England facing Portugal. Portugal will play England without its key players as the violent clash with Netherlands left them with injured players and `reded` ones as well. This is really the top of the soccer world and we will see the best soccer display in years. There are not many matches left until the final in Berlin on July 9, so do not miss all the action.
