Germany Leaps over Sweden

Germany gave its best performance in the tournament as of yet and sent Sweden home hurting. Sweden on the other hand gave their weakest performance and was not able to answer Germany`s constant attacks. Podolski gave Germany the lead with two goals in under 12 minutes of playing. Sweden was left with 10 players after Teddy Lucic was given a red card.

The Swedes were not even felt on the field and Germany had complete control. Germany attacked the Sweden net for the entire game, but was not able to score again after Podolski`s double. Germany had more then 24 goal making situations but didn`t manage to put the goal in the net. The Germen crowd was singing and cheering for the entire time and for many hours after the game was over. Germany is hosting World Cup and that serves as a great advantage.

Germany will face Argentina next. The clash between Argentina and Germany will be on of the most interesting games of the tournament. It`s going to be a shame seeing one of these soccer giants leaving the tournament, as only one of them will continue to the semifinals.
