Spain Secures Second Round

A different Spain played against Tunisia on Monday. It wasn`t the Spain that conquered four goals against Ukraine, but it was a Spain that managed to comeback from a goal difference of one and win the game. After the brilliant performance that Spain gave against Ukraine, there was much expected from their fans. Tunisia was not intimidated by the capable Spanish players and scored the first goal of the game in the first 8 minutes. Raul Gonzalez who played as a substitute and Fernando Torres changed the final score to 3 ? 1 in their favor.

Spain gave one of the best performances on Germany 2006 on their game with Ukraine, and many people were expecting to see that wonderful display once again. Spain looked weaker than they were against Ukraine, but still showed that they are capable of winning crucial games. Spain got their second win in the groups stage and will advance to the next level of World Cup as the winners of group H.

Although Tunisia scored at the beginning of the game, they weren`t able to keep the lead and suffered 3 goals. After 72 minutes of Spanish pressure, the ball went in and the scored as a 1 to 1 tie. Spain didn`t stay put and wanted to win. 5 minutes to the first goal Spain scored again and their comeback was complete. Right at the end of the second half with the clock showing 90 minutes, Spain scored their third goal and ended the game.
