Brazil Still is not Showing Potential with a Struggling Victory
World champions Brazil secured their ticket for World Cup`s second stage after winning 2-0 over Australia. Brazil came to Germany as the definite favorite to take the cup once again, but so far, they have not show any real potential of doing it. They have managed to beat Australia by two goals, but this is not the Brazil everyone was expecting to see. The Brazilian coach said that it is understandable that the team is not in top shape and that they will get better as the tournament continues.
Brazil only played a few warm-up matches before the beginning of Germany 2006. The Brazilian coach did not want his players to work hard before the tournament, and that decision proves to be ineffective as of yet. Ronald was substituted for the second game in a row, and it seems that the Brazilian star is not ready. Brazil will meet Japan on June 22nd for their last match in the groups stage, but the game doesn`t hold any real importance for Brazil`s future in World Cup 2006.
Australia tried their best, but it wasn`t enough even when facing a weak Brazil. Brazil has one of the best attack players in the world and with two good moves, they`ve managed to conquer and beat Australia. Australia will face Croatia on June 22 and will have to win if they want to stay in the picture.
