Ghana Knocks Czech Republic to the Ground
Ghana became the first African team to make it big on this year`s World Cup and will possibly make it to the next stage. Ghana showed superior skills over the European Czech Republic and scored two great goals that sent the Czech`s thinking. Although the Czech Republic is `on paper` the better team, soccer proved once again to be a dynamic and unexpected game and the Africans won.
Ghana opened the first half of the game strong with a first goal after less than 2 minutes. Asamoah Gyan scored for the African teams and left the Czechs bewildered. Both teams struggled for another 80 minutes, but the clearly better performance by Ghana led to their second goal on the 82nd minute and sealed the Czechs` dreams of a tie.
Group E proved to be the most exciting group of the tournament with many different ways combinations for the final standings. Group C was believed to be the toughest group, but Argentina and Netherlands showed that they are both soccer powerhouses that should not be questioned. Group E will provide much tension as the final round of the groups stage opens this week.
