Argentina Smashes Serbia & Montenegro 6 ? 0
Everyone was saying how World Cup`s Group C is the toughest group to play in and it was titled `the house of death`. Former world champions Argentina did not agree. The South American team literally ran over Serbia & Montenegro Friday scoring no less than 6 goals in a soccer performance that no one had seen in many many years.
Argentina is clearly the best team in the tournament so far, and one of the favorites to go all the way. Their soccer performance on Friday was unmatched and the Serbs were simply overwhelmed. Maxi Rodriguez scored twice, Esteban Cambiasso scored once, Hern?n Crespo scored a goal that they 19-year-old Leo Messi cooked for him, Carlos Tevez scored a goal in a brilliant show of personal ability, and Messi was the last to scored making his first goal on his first World Cup debate.
Argentina showed that they are still one of the best soccer nations in the world and that other World Cup favorites will have to work very hard to beat them. Serbia & Montenegro were considered as the toughest team to beat with an unbreakable defense during the qualifying stage. Argentina is set to face Netherlands on June 21 in one of the most interesting matches of the first rounds. Both teams have already secured their place in the next stage, and they will battle out for the first place in the group.
