Miami Surprises Dallas in Game 3

Miami breathed new air into the NBA finals series with a 98-96 victory over Dallas making the currently score 2 ? 1, and not 3 ? 0. The NBA finals Game 3 brought the best basketball anyone had seen in a long time, with Payton scoring a 20-foot jumper with 9.3 seconds left on the clock and broke a late tie. People have mourned over the Heat much too soon, and now everything is possible in this great NBA finals series.

"The basketball gods were good to us tonight, that`s all you can say," Miami coach Pat Riley said. Game 3 was going Dallas` way, but Miami didn`t give up and changed everything with a 22-7 run to salvage their season. Now we`ve got a series," Nowitzki said. "Now we`re in a dogfight for sure." "Dwyane made a great play on the ball," Howard said. "I hit it, but he hit it, too."

Although Payton hit the crucial point of the game, Dwyane Wade gave a brilliant performance throughout the entire game and scored 42 points. Dallas did not expect the sudden change of heart. "We just relaxed. We knew what we needed to do, we had a 13-point lead and we needed to play defense, but we relaxed," Josh Howard said.
