McNair Moves to Tennessee

If all goes well during his physical, Steve McNair will become a Baltimore Ravens player after Tennessee Titans traded him on Wednesday. The Ravens offered a fourth round pick in next year`s draft for the Titans in exchange for the former 2003 MVP McNair. "We have granted permission to Baltimore to give Steve McNair a physical, which we expect to take place in the next 24 hours," said the Titans in a statement on their web site. "Upon passing a physical, final trade terms will be agreed upon."

The player`s relationship with the Titans took a wrong turn during last season`s negotiations over McNair`s salary, and now we see that the Titans have decided to let him go. Last April the Titans banned McNair from using their facilities and gave him the green light to start looking for another team to play for.

Following the Titans selection on this year`s NFL draft, it was clear that McNair does not have a future on the team. Selecting the highly rated Texas quarterback Vince Young meant that the 33-year-old McNair is out of a job. Now McNair moves to Tennessee where he will have a chance to prove that he is still the great player he was 3 years ago.
