Peer Triumphs Over Myskina
The 19-year-old Israeli tennis player, Shahar Peer, demonstrated great skills and defeated top-seeded Anatasia Myskina 1-6, 6-3, 7-6 on Saturday. With Peer`s victory over Russian Myskina it`s the first time she manages to overcome top-10 players, and thanks for the win Peer will play her first round four game ever.
Peer is having a great year. She won at Pattaya City, Thailand, in February and at Prague, Czech Republic, two weeks ago. When asked about the game Peer said, "I feel in great shape, I`ve won in two tournaments during the past month, Prague and Istanbul. I wasn`t thinking about how to win, and I plan on keeping things that way."
Myskina had only good things to say about Peer "(peer) won because she gave a very good game. Unfortunately, I didn`t have enough time to recover from the tough game I had yesterday and that weakened me. Peer could easily become a top-10 player, she has tremendous talent, and she is having a great period right now."
