Court Turns Down Juventus Appeal
Juventus` appeal did not go through and now it is officially confirmed that the team will in Serie B during next season. Juventus was fined for their role in a match-fixing fiasco along with Lazio and Fiorentina. At first, Fiorentina and Lazio were also demoted to Serie B, but the court found their appeal convincing and they will stay in Serie A.
The bright side for Juventus is that their minus 30 penalty was reduced to minus 17. Hard times are headed in Juventus` way, there is no question about that. Juventus, and Fiorentina along her side, said that this is not over yet and further appeals will be made.
Playing for Serie A means the world for Juventus. The team has several of the world`s finest international soccer players, and they will surly leave the team in case Juventus does not play in the Italy`s top league. Juventus also suffers from a minus 17 points penalty that will make it very hard for the team to finish first in Serie B and move back to Serie A in the following season.
