Landis Takes Tour de France

On Sunday, came to an end one of the craziest Tour de France in recent memory with yet another victory to the United States team. This is the seventh year in a row that an American is wearing the yellow jersey. Floyd Landis replaced the retiring Armstrong and extended the United States` hegemony over the tournament.

Floyd Landis` managed to put aside his hip injury and gave the race all he had, finishing first. "I kept fighting, never stopped believing," Landis said after leaving the winner`s podium with his daughter, Ryan.

Landis used to ride with Armstrong`s team in the past, and Tour de France legend is hoping that he Landis will return to the Discovery Team once again. Although Armstrong has retired from competing, he is still part owner of the Discovery Team and would like Landis to return. "We`ve always been interested in Floyd -- he`s a damn good rider," Armstrong said. "We would take Floyd back. We have pursued him for some time now."
