Ronaldo Out of a Month
The Brazilian top star, Ronaldo, cannot find peace of mind lately. After Brazil`s fiasco at Germany 2006 and critics saying that he `lost it` and should step down, Ronaldo received another blow when doctors decided he has to undergo knee surgery and won`t be able to play for a whole month.
Ronaldo`s team, Real Madrid, is not happy with this turn of events and it seems that Real`s doctors and the Brazil`s national team`s doctors are not seeing eye to eye on this. Brazilian national team doctor Jose Luiz Runco said: `He could start to train with the ball in four weeks, more or less. We must hope that the wound heals.`
Real doctor Alfonso del Corral was quick to deny reports of a rift. "`The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) and Real Madrid always work together. I have never had problems with the Brazilian FA," he said. The 29-year-old star will have his operation in Rio and will return to Europe to train when doctors believe he is fit for it.
