Klinsman Is Proud of Achievement

Coach for Germany, Juergen Klinsman, spoke about his team`s defeat on Tuesday, and said that they are deeply disappointed. `We are hugely disappointed (but) you can only compliment the team, they`re a young team. It is amazing the spirit they showed, the character. They made a whole country really proud.`

`It`s something very special to play a World Cup in your home country. It has been a huge success for us as a team, for the country. It showed a whole new German face to the world." Klinsman had good things to say about the Italians who scored two great goals with two minutes left to extra time. "Congratulations to Italy for getting to the final. That`s how it goes, that`s what makes football so fascinating," he added after German hearts were broken by two late goals.

"I congratulated Marcello Lippi and wished him good luck for Sunday," said Klinsman referring to the final that will be held on June 9 in Dortmund. Most of the Germen team spoke about their World Cup achievement of getting to the semifinals and said that they are very proud. Germany made it to the semifinals after defeating Argentina in a quarterfinals penalty shootout.
