Germany Does Not Stop For No One

There were so many good things said about Argentina. About how the South American former world champions finally shows skills that could take it to the very end, but apparently that was enough. Argentina faced Germany on Friday for their quarterfinals match. Both teams showed great performance and soccer action on the field was intense. Argentina scored first after 49 minutes, but Germany equalized and after a no goals extra time the game was decided by penalty shots.

Argentina`s goalkeeper was hurt during the second half of the game and was substituted. Argentina`s coach made some questionable decisions such as taking Riquelme and Krespo out ? decisions that ended up hurting Argentina and it wasn`t able to score again for the rest of the game. Germany, as always, was excellent during their penalty shots. For Argentina, Ayala and Cambiaso both missed their penalty shots and Germany made it to the next stage.

Germany, with the support of its home crowed, could very well be the next world champions. Their next match will be against Italy which beat Ukraine 3 ? 0. Germany will have to beat the Italians if they want to play in World Cup 2006`s final ? and they do. Very much. The final will be held in Berlin, and there couldn`t be in better location for the German team.
