Pirates Keep Braking Records, The Wrong Way

Every sports team aims for breaking records. However, the record that the Pittsburgh Pirates are holding, no team wants to hold. Pittsburgh Pirates keeps losing like no other team has ever lost. Not even the Pirates themselves have known a losing streak this long. The team keeps breaking their own record of consecutive loses.

The team`s last defeat on Wednesday was their 13th consecutive defeat! The Pirates lost to the Chicago White Sox 4-3 and broke their previous record of 12th defeats. Even the Pirates` best hitter Jason Bay was not able to stop their losing streak. "It`s starting to get a little unbelievable," Bay said. "Until we get a lucky break, a lucky bounce, get off to a great start in a game, I don`t know what the answer is. I know guys are pressing, because I know I am."

The Pirates have not won a single game for the last two weeks and broke the barrier of 12 consecutive defeats, a record that was set back in 1939. The Pirates still have a long way until they break the all-times record. Pittsburgh`s Alleghenies made a record of 23 consecutive defeats in 1890.
