Philadelphia Turning Things Around

With a record of 20-20, Philadelphia is showing signs that thy have finally got it together. It took them some time, but the players have finally adjusted to Maurice Cheeks? system. It couldn?t have happed at a better time, seeing that we are at the season?s half way mark. Within the last week the Sixers now have gutted out two straight wins that included late comebacks against the Memphis Grizzlies (89-86 overtime) and the Minnesota Timberwolves (86-84).

Also stepping up in Sundays game was Andre Iguodala who had a last minute difficult 15 foot shot to win it at the buzzer for his first game winner as a pro. Props also to Kyle Korver who went to a sixth man role without complaint on his ?bobblehead night? last week, and John Salmons has done a good job in the starting unit, bringing more defense in the two wins than Korver typically brings.

Dalembert, originally from Haiti, is a promising player who averaged 12 points and 12 rebounds against the Pistons in the Sixers playoff loss and has been averaging over 10 rebounds and 3 blocks a game this year. Despite that he does need to step up his defense outside his blocks, and remains at best an average scoring threat but could become one of the East Conference?s best centers if he improves these parts of his game.
