New York Turning Things Around

What?s happening with the Knicks? New York has won five games in a row, with four of them over teams with a winning record. Has Larry Brown finally been able to turn the Knicks around? Only time will tell. Guards play has been instrumental in the New York?s current winning streak. Many questioned exactly that with the Knicks as little as a month ago. Critics were harsh, losses were frequent, and if players weren?t looking over at the bench for approval, their heads were hung low with a single white towel signaling surrender

The color scheme on the Knicks rubix cube is finally matching up. The latest wins against solid playoff bound teams like the Cleveland Cavaliers and Dallas Mavericks show a positive sign of the puzzle easily fitting. During the Knicks (12-21) recent five game win streak, playing and winning as a team is what New York is really about in this new year. It`s a theme that both Coach Larry Brown and his players echoed throughout the night.

Against Phoenix, rookie David Lee dropped his first double-double (23pts. 15 reb.), fellow rookie Channing Frye had 30 points against Washington, Taylor`s 23 led to a win over Seattle, Jamal Crawford?s 26 was the story at Cleveland, and Stephon Marbury led the way with 28 in the latest "w" against Dallas.
