Magic Experience Wardrobe Malfunction

Last week, the Orlando Magic experienced a ?wardrobe malfunction?. When people hear this term they immediately reminded of the Janet Jackson incident a couple of years ago in the Super Bowl. As opposed to Jackson, the Magic?s wardrobe malfunction didn?t include flashing private body parts, they just wore the wrong uniform. The Magic had agreed to wear the old Magic Pinstripe uniforms some 12 times this season.

Just before the Magic game against the Bucks, Magic equipment manager Rodney Powell decided to change things up and pulled out the old Magic Pinstripe uniforms. The problem was that the Bucks game was not one of the games they were supposed to wear them. As luck would have it, the Magic won the game in surprising fashion, so they chose to wear them again against the Knicks ? again a win.

The Magic wore them a third consecutive time against the Timberwolves and got yet another win. Apparently the NBA cautioned the Magic to go back to their standard uniforms, or they could face a fine. Rumor has it that the Magic did get fined for wearing the wrong uniforms, and a Magic source says if this is the cost of a winning record at home, they will find a way to absorb the fines, so expect to see more of the Pinstripes.
