Bulls Taking a Step Back
This season, the Bulls should have taken build on the breakthrough season they?ve had last year. Instead, the Bulls are wobbling around .500 looking to remain in the playoff picture. He Bulls hardly made any changes in the off season, other than trading Eddy Curry. Could this move be the cause for the mediocre season the have had thus far? By losing Curry, the Bulls have lost their only low-post scoring presence.
No matter how bad Michael Sweetney is, or how worthless Tim Thomas has been to the organization this season, the bottom line is that the Bulls gambled on Eddy with the fourth pick in the 2001 NBA, and now they get to hit the ?reset? button and make that top 5 selection again this summer.
Chicago may be wishing they had made a move by Thursday?s deadline with the way the team has been playing since the All-Star break. The Bulls are 1-2 since then, including losses against Detroit and Philadelphia, as well as a nail-biting victory at home versus the Milwaukee Bucks.
