Ruling the City of Angels
If the Clippers actually make it into the playoffs, I don?t care how good of a season Nash and Billups are having, Elton Brand is my MVP. It?s much harder to establish a winning mentality in a team that has never won before than with a team that has a winning tradition. Throughout his career, Brand has been a solid contributor, great rebounded and a fantastic defender. This season, Brand?s offensive game has improved leaps and bounds.
Elgin Baylor, who has taken criticism in the past, has expertly put together a well-balanced, deep roster. Near the mid-season deadline, Baylor wisely traded Chris Wilcox for Vladimir Radmanovic, a versatile big-man who can stretch the defense, giving the Clippers more depth.
Even though the Clippers already had a lot of talent, Baylor went out and got another key puzzle piece, for which he should be applauded. Radmanovic consistently burned the Lakers from three point land, burying five for the game.
