Radmanovic Traded to Clippers
Vladimir Radmanovic who signed a tender offer last summer making him an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season was traded on Tuesday to the LA Clippers for Chris Wilcox. Similarly to Radmanovic, Wilcox is also becomes a free agent at the end of the season. The difference is that Seattle will have the right to mach any offers in the summer, since Wilcox is an unrestricted free agent.
In Radmanovic, the team addresses their biggest weakness: three-point shooting where they`re just 25th in the league at just 33.7%. As part of last season`s surprising Seattle run, Radmanovic shot 38.9% from behind the arc. His best was as a rookie in 2001-02 at 42.0%. Radmanovic, with good size at 6`-10", is capable of playing either forward position.
Wilcox has an enormous potential and is an extremely talented athlete. For whatever reason, Dunleavy was never able to harness Wilcox` abilities. Losing him may be a mistake, but it`s hard to offer much criticism of Dunleavy`s coaching when his team is standing with the fifth best record in the league.
