Duhon for Gooden in the Works

The Duhon for Gooden rumors make some sense. The Cavs need a point guard and the Bulls need to shore up their anemic front line. Gooden is a restricted free agent at the end of the year, while Duhon still has a couple of seasons left on his contract. Will this be enough to solve the Bulls? problems?

This deal makes total sense for both teams involved. The Cavs need another point guard and aren?t particularly happy with Gooden (Plus, Gooden is a restricted free agent this summer, and Cleveland isn?t sure they can afford to re-sign him. Might as well get something for him now, right?), while Chicago is over-loaded with small guards and really needs some size. Seems like a no-brainer, right?

There was no way in blue hell that John Paxson would make a move for Kenyon Martin, which, believe it or not, actually was a rumor this past week. The Bulls showed little-to-no interest because they didn?t want to pull an Isiah and trade cap space for an injury-prone guy with 5 years and $70 million left on his contract.
