Did the Knicks coach have part in the brawl?

In post-game and post-brawl comments, Knicks coach Isiah Thomas has said he told Anthony that he and Camby shouldn`t have been in the game after it was decided. He remarks, understanding of the hard foul committed by Knicks rookie Mardi Collins on J.R. Smith on a breakaway with under two minutes to play and a 19 point difference, are now a=in the center of the league`s inquiry into the incident.

The league will investigate also into a supposed warning that Thomas advised Denver star Carmelo Anthony not to go near the basket shortly before the hard foul occurred. Had Isiah Thomas ordered the hard foul started a brawl, was followed by the ejection of all 10 players on the court and will end with some lengthy suspensions?

Meanwhile, NBA scoring leader Anthony apologized for throwing a punch and letting his temper get hold of him. He threw a punch at Collins, just as things appeared to be calming down. Collins fell to the floor, and the brawl picked up again. "Last night`s altercation with the Knicks escalated further than it should have. I take full responsibility for my actions in the matter," Anthony said in a statement.
