Garcia wins another one for the Eagles
A high scoring fourth quarter, in which the Eagles outscored the Giants 22-9 on their way to a 36-22 victory has given new hopes to a city that was left without its franchise quarterback. Another strong performance from Jeff Garcia and the Eagles are 8-6, on a three game winning streak and with good chances to enter the playoffs. Their chances to enter the playoffs from the NFC, at least as a wild card team, are decent. They will face division leaders Dallas (9-5) on Christmas Day.
Jeff Garcia, 36, who was called to replace the injured McNabb, is 3-0 since losing to the colts in his first game with the Eagles. In four starts, he has thrown fro nine touchdowns and only a single interception. The quarterback, who earlier in his career was a star for the 49ers, has made a comeback that has carried the city to renewed hopes, said "I was starting to lose faith in football, and in having fun again."
The giants, on the other hand, with young quarterback Eli Manning, seem to have lost their way. They have lost five of the last six games and are only 7-7. The team gave up 382 yards, 161 of them on the ground. But playing in the NFC, they still have a chance to make it into the postseason.
