Arenas sets season high with 60 points

Gilbert Arenas set a personal record, a franchise record and an NBA season-high with 60 points in the Wizards 147-141 victory over the Lakers in Los Angeles. Arenas also had eight assists and eight rebounds in 49 minutes on the court. Kobe Bryant had "only" 45 points in the game, to go along with 10 assists and eight rebounds.

During overtime, after the score was tied at 126-126 at the end of regulation, Arenas scored 14 straight points for Washington, and a total of 16 in the extra time. Bryant had only 4 points during the overtime. The Lakers are missing Lamar Odom, out with an injury. His replacement, Vladimir Radmanovic scored 27 points. His 5-9 three point shooting were part of 44 attempts from beyond the arc by the Lakers, 19 of them made.

Arenas, whose previous personal high score was 47 points one year ago, said after the game: "It was bound to happen. I`m a scorer, so I was going to have one of those days where I was clicking."
