Jacksonville Jaguars with Two Players Down
This is not how the Jacksonville Jaguars wanted to open the season, that`s for sure. Leading tackler Mike Peterson and their fullback, Greg Jones, might both miss the start of the season and give the Jags a rough start. The emotional leader of the team, Peterson, sprained the medial collateral ligament in his right knee during the team`s play against Tampa Bay.
Peterson, the team`s middle linebacker, might be out of shape for the season opener on Sept. 10 when Jacksonville play against Dallas. Jones is also injured. The fullback sprained the medial collateral ligament in his left knee. So these two players with sprained knees put a question mark over Jacksonville`s opener.
Although injured players` are always bad news, Jack Del Rio, the team`s coach, stays optimistic. "Really good news considering what it could have been, The thought is that they should be back sometime during the Dallas week, ready for the opener." When asked about his return, Peterson showed less optimistic feelings and only said "I don`t know." We will have to wait and see.
