"An extremely positive turn in the tide," he called the U.S doping authorities` recent work. The Olympic Committee is promoting a world wide anti-doping campaign both in the world of professional sports, as well as outside of the field.
The president was so impressed be the work that was done, that he was quoted saying "I take my hat off to them," in an interview with The Associated Press. The work that Rogge found so impressing was the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency handle of recent doping scandals involving Olympic sprint champions, Justin Gatlin and Marion Jones.
Both Athletes were tested positive for the use of enhancing materials, but until hard proof manifest they won`t be stripped of their Olympic titles. "That can only happen if there is proof that they took doping during the (Olympic Games) period. Otherwise, there is no possibility," Rogge said. He also mentioned that these scandals have a positive side and that they show that "controls are working."
