Miami Heat Under Riley for Another Season
The NBA champion Miami Heat will be coached by Pat Riley for another season. An official notice was published on Wednesday ending a month of speculation regarding Pat Riley`s future on the team. "After winning the championship, I realized there`s always something meaningful that happens in your life that becomes the primary point of your destiny," Riley said.
"Winning the championship showed me that I am definitely in the right place, at the right time, with the right people. I can`t wait to get started." It seems that Riley is eager to start the season. The team did not make any changes in their lineup and they will play with the same squad that won the championship last season.
Riley is currently Miami`s president and wanted to be on court to help the team defend its NBA title. He did not want to stand by as the team struggles to maintain their position as the NBA champions, and decided that coaching them personally would be the best option. Riley has played for Miami in the past and took the lead as the team`s coach in December after Stan Van Gundy resigned due to personal reasons.
