USA Basketball Team Takes Down Lithuania

The United States National Basketball team had little trouble facing Lithuania. Carmelo Anthony was back at full strength and the final score was set at 111-88. Game No. 4 was a breeze for the US team as they are heading into the World Championship. "Our game plan was to just keep the ball moving," said Anthony, who leads the U.S. in scoring in the four exhibition games.

"We know we can score from just about anywhere, so we don`t have to wait for a fantastic shot," Anthony explained. The United States opened their World Championship campaign strong and showed clear superiority over the other teams. Their game against Brazil was a hard one due to a hyper extended knee that Anthony suffered from during the game.

The USA brought 14 talented players to Asia, and will reduce the roster to 12, as the tournament begins. The last time that the US took the first place in the Basketball World Championship was back in 1994. They won third in 1998 and returned home with the sixth place in 2002.
