Patriots Lose Another Linebacker
New England Patriots are facing an unpleasant situation with one of their main linebackers, Tedy Bruschi, suffering from a broken wrist and unable to play in any of the preseason games. Patriots` coach Bill Belichick has confirmed that Bruschi is out of action and that it is hard to say whether or not Bruschi will be ready for the Patriots` regular-season opening game on September 10.
The 33-year-old player was injured on July 31, probably during the morning practice, and missed 10 of Patriots` last workouts. Bruschi`s last season was not on a perfect health side as well. He missed the six last games of the season due to a mild stroke. Bruschi planed on sitting down this season, but came back in October to lead the Patriots to a third straight division title.
The whole situation is not easy for the Patriots. Bruschi is the fourth free agent that the team loses after kicker Adam Vinatieri, receiver David Givens and linebacker Willie McGinest all had to step down due to various reasons.
