Best Scorer in Europe Stays in Fiorentina

Europe top scorer, Luca Toni, has decided to stay in his Seire A club, Fiorentina. Toni scored 31 goals for the club during the last season and is considered the best scorer in Europe. Toni was targeted by Inter Milan who wanted to add him to its already impressive arsenal of players after Fiorentina got involved in the match-fixing scandal in Italy.

Fiorentina was originally demoted to play in Serie B, and Inter Milan believed that this could be a good opportunity to snatch Toni. Following a court appeal, Fiorentina was restated in Serie A and Toni does not have any reason to leave his favorite club. "I want to play and score some goals,` said Toni.

"Any player would have been tempted by the prospect of the Champions League and a big contract,` said Toni.` But my colleagues convinced me they wanted me to stay with them," Toni elaborated.
