Landis Answers Back

Floyd Landis, the winner of 2006`s Tour de France, couldn`t hold his peace after the result of his second drug test sample came back positive. Landis lashed out on cycling and anti-doping officials in his first interview since the results of his "B" test were made public. Landis demonstrated an unbelievable comeback during the race, when his stage 16 was horrible but his stage 17 was amazing and took him all the way to the big win.

Landis` drug test came back positive for a fitness enhancing drug and now that his second test proved positive again, there are many question marks hovering over his title. "There`s some kind of agenda there. I just don`t know what it is," Landis said. "I put in more than 20,000 kilometers of training for the Tour. I won the Tour of California, Paris-Nice and the Tour de Georgia," Landis said.

"I was tested eight times at the Tour de France, four times before that stage and three times after, including three blood tests. Only one came back positive. Nobody in their right mind would take testosterone just once. It doesn`t work that way." Landis told his take on the story, and we will have to wait for further developments to see if Landis will keep his title or not.
