Rooney Wants to Stay at Old Trafford for Long
Wayne Rooney is already a symbol of Manchester United and it is very hard to picture him playing for any other group. Now it seems that Rooney is thinking the same. The young star player wants to follow Gary Neville`s and Ryan Giggs` footsteps and play for Manchester "as long as they have." Rooney is hoping to become a Manchester United veteran.
Rooney started playing at Old Trafford back in 2004 and is currently signed under a long-term contract. The 20-year-old player stated that he would like to change his long-term contract and even extend his deal with the team. Rooney was quoted as saying, "I look at people like Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs and I want to be here as long as they have. This is a big club and no-one I know ever wants to leave."
Rooney told the Sunday Mirror: "People say I could now have my pick of clubs but this is where I want to be. I want to extend my contract at Manchester United. I don`t want to go anywhere else." The team has not responded yet, but clearly, they will not stop Rooney from staying.
