Inter Takes Vieria from Juventus
Patrick Vieira, one of France`s best international players, was sold to Internazionale for ?9.5million by Juventus. Vieira was acquired by Juventus last summer for ?13.7million, but the Italian club is selling most of its international players after being demoted to play in Serie B. Juventus was punishment for its role in the match-fixing fiasco that rattled Italy.
In a statement made at the end of last week it was announced that: "French midfielder Patrick Vieira is officially sold from Juventus to Inter for 9.5m euros, payable in three years." Vieria joins Inter, and will play in Serie A. The player will try and win the Serie A title, as well as play in the Champions League.
Many international players are leaving Juventus, as playing for a second rate league means less money and less publicity for their career. Vieira has an impressive international career. He played for France in 1998 when France hosted and eventually won World Cup 1998. Vieira also won at Euro 2000 and is considered to be one of the best in the world.
