Utah State`s Quarterback Arrested
Jerod Walker, Utah State`s quarterback, was arrested last week. The Utah player is accused of raping a female student, as reported by the Police. USU Department of Public Safety released a statement saying that Walker turned himself into campus police on Thursday, and was jailed at the Cache Country Jail.
Walker posted bail and was released from jail the same day. He is expected to be charged with a felony and arraigned next week. Walker was suspended from the team, pending the legal proceedings, and did not participate in a short scrimmage on Friday, said Utah State representative Mike Strauss.
He started two games as a freshman last season and was expected to compete for the starting job in 2006. With this new delicate situation, it is hard to believe Jerod Walker will continue his career as a quarterback.
