Midland Formula One Team is Restructuring
Formula One Midland Racing team is re-structuring their race and test team operations, with the departure of their Sporting Director, Adrian Burgess. The departure is already effective, as Midland Racing rushes the changes in order to better their drivers` performance for the season. The team is currently standing at number 9, and wants to move up. The Midland Group purchased the Jordan Grand Prix team just ahead of the 2005 season. In 2006, the MF1 Racing team competes under its own colors and a Russian race license for the first time.
MF1 Racing thanked Burgess for his support and dedicated hard work during his time with the team. He has held the position of Sporting Director since May 2005. "Adrian`s experience and expertise were very helpful to us during the team`s transition season," said MF1 Racing`s Managing Director, Colin Kolles. "We wish him every success as he leaves to pursue other challenges, and we fully expect to see him back in the F1 paddock before too long."
The internal re-structuring plan provides for re-allocation of Burgess` duties among senior team members Andy Stevenson (Team Manager) and Dominic Harlow (Chief Race and Test Engineer).
