Curry?s Future in Chicago is Unclear
It appears that the Bulls are seriously entertaining the notion of trading center Eddy Curry. Curry, who missed most of last season with heart irregularities, still draws a lot of attention around the league. General Managers are always on the market for young agile center with Curry?s upside.
It?s no secret that Isaiah Thomas has been after Curry for quite some time now. So far, New York?s attempts to get their hand on Curry have been rebuffed by Bulls GM John Paxon. New York might not have any assets that are appealing to the Bulls, but they can offer cap relief. The Knicks can include either Tim Thomas or Penny Hardaway in any potential deal, in return for Antonio Davis perhaps.
Other potential trading partners are the Grizzlies, where Jerry West is in dire need of a center to complement Pau Gasol. The problem with this scenario is that Memphis doesn?t have enough desirable commodities to pull off a deal. Golden State is another interesting option for the Bulls who could be interested in a package including Mike Donleavy junior.
